DD G
When I was 6 years old
Em A
I broke my leg
D G
I was runnig from my brother
Em A
And his friends

Of the montain grass as I rolled down
D G
I was younger then
Em A
Take me back to when
G A
I found my heart
DAnd broke it here
GMade friends and lost them
GThrough the years
AAnd I've not seen
DThe roaring fields, In so long
GI know, I've grown
G A
I can't wait to go home
D G
I'm on my way
Em A
Driving at 90
DDown those
GCountry lanes
Em A
Singing to tiny dancer
D G
And I miss the way
Em A
You make me feel, and it's real
D G
We watched the sunset
Em A D
Over the castle on the hill
D G Em A
15 years old smoking handrolled cigarettes
D G
Running from the law through the backfields
Em A
And getting drunk with my friends
D G
Had my first kiss on a friday night
Em A
I don't reckon, I dit it right

I was yourger then
Em A
Take me back to when

We found, weekend jobs
DWhen we got paid
GWe'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight

Me and my friends have not thrown up
GIn so long, oh how we've grown
G A
I can't wait to go home
D G
I'm on my way
Em A
Driving at 90
DDown those
GCountry lanes
Em A
Singing to tiny dancer
D G
And I miss the way
Em A
You make me feel, and it's real

We watched the sunset

Over the castle on the hill
Em A D
Over the castle on the hill
Em A D G
Over the castle on the hill
Em G
One friend left to sell clothes
D D
One works down by the coast
Em G
One had two kids, but lives alone
D A
One's brother overdosed
Em G
One's already on his second wife
D A
One's just barely getting by, but
Em G D
These people raised me, and I
ACan't wait to go home
D G
I'm on my way
Em A
I still remember
D G
These old country lanes
Em A
When we did not know the answers
D G
And I miss the way
Em A
You make me feel, and it's real
D G
We watched the sunset
Em A D G
Over the castle on the hill
Em A D G
Over the castle on the hill
Em A D
Over the castle on the hill
